GranQuartz is the industry’s largest distributor of tools and equipment to the stone fabrication and concrete, natural stone and terrazo, coatings removal, surface preparation and polishing trades. GranQuartz operates nine fully stocked branch locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, and employs over fifty outside sales and technical support professionals. The year 2007 has been a challenging year for the stone industry. With the slowdown in home building, companies in our industry have had to work both harder and smarter to generate sales and maintain profitability. Towards this end, GranQuartz has steadily worked to align our sales, marketing and operating strategies to more fully realize the company mission statement, "To ensure our stone industry customers' success by providing the broadest range of trusted products and solutions on time, every time."

Our recently completed customer satisfaction survey, sent to over 2,000 customers, focused on how well GranQuartz is meeting the expectations of you, our customers. The feedback we received gave us both strong support and also concrete examples of where we can improve our performance.

On the sales front, we are continuing to add sales assets in a variety of areas around the US and Canada. We are also spending a significant amount of time and money on product training for all of our inside and outside sales professionals. It is our continued goal to provide the best sales coverage with the most knowledgeable stone tool experts in the industry.

Our product line is much broader and deeper, particularly in Diarex diamond consumables, as we have added more options and price points to choose from. So too is our Total Solutions material handling line, with Gorbel and Aardwolf line extensions. The Diarex Cyclone Filtration Systems have been broadened to now offer multiple options to meet specific shop filtration requirements. Our partner ADI has completed considerable research and development work to launch the Ultra High Speed line of CNC tools. We have also rolled out a comprehensive line of safety products to help keep you OSHA-compliant and safe.

From an operational and service standpoint, we continue to invest in systems to improve our delivery performance, and with our seven stocking locations in the United States, we can reach 90% of the continental US within 1-2 days via standard package ground shipping. Recently, we have also expanded in Canada with a new location in the Toronto area.
